The congress was conceived as a venue to convene the different sectors of society to share and disseminate latest information, studies and trends in philanthropy. It gathers people and organizations from different fields and sectors but have a common concern for the improvement of people’s lives and their communities.

Launched in 2004, the First Fund Raising Congress was held on March 30-31, 2004 at the AIM Conference Center which also coincided with the First Kyra Awards. The Second Fund Raising Congress, Building Stronger Bridges, was held in August 29-30, 2006 at the CSB Hotel International Conference Center.
