The biennial Kyra Awards was established in 2004. It is the first fund raising awards given among non-profit organizations in the Philippines that show best practices in fund raising campaigns. The multi-category Kyra Awards was instituted to acknowledge the success of creative resource development, and to celebrate partnerships between the profit and non-profit sectors. The first of its kind in the Philippines, it was launched at Venture for Fund Raising’s First Fund Raising Congress held on March 30-31, 2004 at the AIM Conference Center.
In 2006, the Second Kyra Awards was celebrated in conjunction with the Second Fund Raising Congress held in August 29-30 at the CSB Hotel in Manila. The awards include Best Direct Mail Campaign, Best Special Event, Best Corporate-NGO Partnership, and the Award for Excellence in Fund Raising.
