Fund Raising Workshop with Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. - One to Tree

We just concluded our first Fund Raising Capacity Building and Planning Workshop for 2021! Last April 23-30, we worked with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. - One to Tree (RAFI-OTT) in building their internal capacity to effectively raise the needed resources of the organization. 

The workshop took place over 5 days, split into 2-hour morning and afternoon sessions. The capacity-building portion, composed of input sessions on the basics and fundamentals of professional fund raising, came first to level off all of the participants' resource mobilization knowledge. This was followed by the planning portion, the overall goal of which was the development of a medium-term fund raising plan to sustain and expand RAFI-OTT’s programs.


The workshop was attended by a good combination of staff from the One To Tree program and RAFI stakeholders from its Brand Development, Finance, IT, and Business Excellence groups, and representatives from its Executive Committee and Board of Trustees.


Through a training needs and organizational assessment activity, the workshop was customized to the specific needs and perspectives of the organization as a whole. The results of the TNA were then used to tailor the various workshop materials to RAFI-OTT’s context.
