Last February to June, we conducted six (6) online Fund Raising Training sessions for the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)!

Through its Management Development Program (MDP), PRC continues to provide skills and aptitudinal development for its staff. For PRC’s 2022 MDP, we are very fortunate to be able to work with its leadership and managers in building their fund generation capacity.

Our 8-hour Fund Raising Training was split into 4-hour morning and afternoon sessions. The first session aimed to introduce the basic fund raising concepts and principles that the participants can apply in implementing their fund raising activities, along with a section on the current local, regional and global fund raising environment and trends. 

The second half of the course focused on presenting the different fund raising strategies that the Chapters can consider when planning their future campaigns. Finally, to wrap up the course, the last session introduced the ideal steps or process for strategic fund raising planning. 

A workbook containing a number of exercises was also provided to ensure the participants’ maximized learning and participation.

With over 200 participants, the attendees were divided into six learning batches. Batches 1-3 were held last February 17, 24, and March 10, 2022, while Batches 4-6 were conducted last May 19, 26, and June 2, 2022.

The training was attended by the Chapter Administrators and Managers from the different PRC Chapters across the country, associates from support units such as Finance, Logistics, and I.T., and multiple members from PRC’s National Headquarters (NHQ). Other representatives from PRC and the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) also joined a number of sessions to support and observe the sessions.
