We were very glad to have a diverse group of enthusiastic fund raisers who all had the same passion for learning the art and science of professional fund raising!

On day 1, Ms. Pinky, our Executive Director, leveled the participants' understanding of what fund raising is and isn’t by presenting the basic resource mobilization concepts and principles. The session continued to discuss how an organization’s fund raising initiatives should be anchored to its vision, mission, and strategic goals.

Our HR and Administrative Consultant, Ms. April, then facilitated sessions revolving around the different stakeholders who should be involved in the entire fund raising process.

Ms. Pinky opened Day 2 with a discussion on the different policies, systems, and structures that should be in place before fund raising commences. Ms. Lourdes, our Senior Program Manager, then shared the current fund raising trends and environment at the national, regional, and global levels that the participants can take into consideration before planning their campaigns. She also discussed the initial findings from Venture’s 2022 Survey on Giving.

Ms. Pinky concluded the morning session by discussing how the participants can expand their constituencies and identify their prospective donors. She then presented the different fund raising acquisition strategies that organizations can employ.

Day 2’s afternoon session opened with the participants sharing the constituency maps they constructed with the knowledge they gained from the past sessions. Ms. Pinky then continued the discussion on the different fund raising acquisition strategies.

Ms. Lourdes opened Day 3 with the emerging online fund raising tools and strategies, while the succeeding strategies for upgrading donors such as major gift solicitation and planned giving, and the other sources of non-profit funds, grant proposal writing, and earned income strategies, were discussed by Ms. Pinky.

The rest of the afternoon focused on monitoring and evaluating fund raising campaigns and introducing the strategic fund raising planning process.

To make the workshop more interactive, the course featured group activities and sharing sessions to allow our participants to immediately put into practice the theories that were discussed in each session.

Our heartfelt thank you to all our participants for your active participation and for sharing your insights, questions, and experiences! These contributed greatly to the quality and success of the workshop!

We hope that you found the BCFR informative and worthwhile, and that you are now more excited and ready to raise funds for your organizations! Happy friend-raising!
