Venture just concluded another Fund Raising Capacity Building and Planning Workshop for 2024! Last October 28 to 30, we customized a workshop for Vivita Philippines Charities Non-Stock Corp. (Vivita) at Vivistop Baguio, located in Berkeley School in Baguio, to strengthen Vivita's funding capabilities and operational strategies.

Vivita Philippines Charities Non-Stock Corp. is a non-governmental organization dedicated to nurturing young talent. The organization provides a supportive environment where youth can develop 21st-century skills like creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship. These skills are especially important at a time when the Philippines’ youth rank among the bottom four countries worldwide in creative thinking based on the assessment conducted by the Programme for International Student Assessment or PISA.

Vivita’s mission is to cultivate self-directed learners and changemakers, helping Filipino youth transform their ideas into real-world skills. Through strategic partnerships and innovation hubs, Vivita aims to expand its reach across the Philippines, fostering a culture of curiosity, exploration, and collaboration. The organization envisions a future where every young Filipino is equipped with the confidence and abilities to shape their future, supported by an inclusive and engaged community.

The recent 3-day workshop, facilitated by Venture’s Executive Director, Ms. Pinky N. Medina, and Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Kiel S. Fernandez, was carefully designed to address Vivita’s fund raising challenges and identify funding opportunities. As an organization that recently shifted to non-profit status, the workshop involved exploring the different non-profit business models, as well as strategic planning exercises to help the team visualize where they want Vivita to be in the next 5 years. An organizational assessment of Vivita's current fund raising capabilities was done prior to the workshop which provided the foundation for creating input sessions and exercises aimed at crafting Vivita’s short to medium-term strategic and fund raising plans.

We extend our gratitude to the Vivita team for trusting Venture to journey with you at this pivotal moment in your organization’s journey. We are delighted to work with a team that embodies your organization’s thrust for creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and entrepreneurship. We also learned so much about the potential of technology, and how children can be mentored to develop creative solutions to life’s daily challenges. We remain hopeful about the difference you will be creating as you work with the next generation of Filipino problem-solvers. We hope you enjoyed the workshop as much as we did!

Happy friend-raising!
